In fall term 2014, our Program will participate in an academic community for new students at Pitt intersted in gender/sexuality studies. Students will take our Intro to GSWS course, seminar in composition gender studies, and a one-credit freshman programs course. All of these courses will be taught by experienced instructors whose work is related to gender studies. Other extracurricular activities related to gender/sexuality are all on the horizon.

Women's Studies Program Spring 2014 Events

Our spring calendar of events in gender, sexuality, and women’s studies is available here. We hope you will join us for this series of exciting and cutting-edge events

Spring Events

Most of our planned spring-term events are now on our web calendar. We hope you will join us for part 2 of our "Gender and the Global" series. We have events in feminist studies, transgender studies, masculinity studies, and sexuality studies, with questions of race, ethnicity, and nation front and center. Two of the events center on teaching and pedagogy as well. As always, our events are meant to bring cutting-edge research to the Pitt community.
