"Arts Education an Operatic Tragedy" was posted on Yinzercation May 7th and quickly spread to news sources nationwide, including the Huffington Post, San Francisco Times, and Philadelphia Inquirer. The story was prompted by a decision by the Pittsburgh Opera to honor Governor Corbett for his contributions to arts education, yet the governor has eliminated $1 billion from public schools in Pennsylvania over the last two years forcing many districts to eliminate arts programs.
