1-credit course: WOMNST0350, Gender & the Environment

0350 SPECIAL TOPICS IN GSWS, Tu 1:00PM-1:50PM, SRCC00113 Prof: Marylou Gramm

This course will explore the philosophical, literary and spiritual connections between sexuality and nature while examining the intertwined struggles for power over bodies and the earth. We will investigate the works of environmental activists, queer ecologists, eco-feminists, nature writers, poets, and artists. Students will develop projects examining local and global environmental issues that concern gender and sexuality as well as exercise their critical writing and thinking abilities.
