Lisa Parker

Lisa S. Parker, PhD, a philosopher-bioethicist and Associate Professor of Human Genetics, participated in a Fogarty International Center NIH Training Program to help develop research capacity in India, where she was also invited to give the 2009 keynote ethics address to the Indian Society of Human Genetics.

Marianne Novy

With help from the School of Arts and Sciences, Women's Studies, English, and other units at Pitt, Duquesne, CMU, and Carlow, Professor Marianne Novy organized the Pittsburgh Consortium for Adoption Studies. 

Sara Goodkind

Sara Goodkind, Assistant Professor of Social Work, developed a new graduate course with the support received from the Women’s Studies Course Development Fund.

Amanda Godley

Associate Professor of English Education, Amanda Godley, was invited to be the keynote speaker for the SUNY-Fredonia Women’s Studies Research Conference on Gender, Fredonia, NY in March 2009.

Nancy Glazener

In December, 2008, Associate Professor of English, Dr. Nancy Glazener won the Norman Foerster Award, sponsored by the American Literature Section of the Modern Language Association.

Identified as a “Pioneer in Feminist Psychology” by the Association for Women in Psychology
