The Pitt Drag Show, put on by Pitt’s own Rainbow Alliance, was held Friday, April 6^th, in the assembly room of the William Pitt Union. The show, which was the last event held in honor of Pride Week, surely was a great way to end the week. There were ten performers overall, including current Pitt students, Pitt alumni, and employees of the university, all of whom brought their a-game and delivered fourteen wonderful musical performances.

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I took a trip to The University of Virginia to hear a lecture from Danielle Owens-Reid and Kristin Russo, the two founders of Everyoneisgay.com. To provide a little background about the group, Danielle became semi-famous after beginning the blog Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber.

This professor does an admirable job of examining his own vulnerability as a gay man on a college campus. During a pride rally, he was approached by a student and verbally harrassed and degraded. He reflects here on how no one is safe from bullying, and if we continue to stand by, then it will only get worse.
