Pitt Drag Show 2012: A Wonderful Way to end Pride Week

The Pitt Drag Show, put on by Pitt’s own Rainbow Alliance, was held Friday, April 6th, in the assembly room of the William Pitt Union. The show, which was the last event held in honor of Pride Week, surely was a great way to end the week. There were ten performers overall, including current Pitt students, Pitt alumni, and employees of the university, all of whom brought their a-game and delivered fourteen wonderful musical performances.

Everyone Is Gay!

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I took a trip to The University of Virginia to hear a lecture from Danielle Owens-Reid and Kristin Russo, the two founders of Everyoneisgay.com. To provide a little background about the group, Danielle became semi-famous after beginning the blog Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber.

Bullying and sexuality

This professor does an admirable job of examining his own vulnerability as a gay man on a college campus. During a pride rally, he was approached by a student and verbally harrassed and degraded. He reflects here on how no one is safe from bullying, and if we continue to stand by, then it will only get worse.
