Using the web to sell young girls

This is a thought-provoking op-ed piece about child trafficking on the Internet. Rather than taking their girls to the streets, where police are becoming more vigilant about cracking down on underage prostitution and helping girls escape the life, pimps are turning to the Internet to sell their girls. This creates a situation where children are being trafficked, but their traffickers are almost impossible to track down. I believe it was last year that Craigslist chose to pull all of its "adult" ads because it kept getting prostitution and adult solicitation ads, and it had been accused of running ads for child prostitution. This op-ed piece takes on another popular web site that took over when Craigslist discontinued its adult ads.
