Everyone Is Gay!

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I took a trip to The University of Virginia to hear a lecture from Danielle Owens-Reid and Kristin Russo, the two founders of Everyoneisgay.com. To provide a little background about the group, Danielle became semi-famous after beginning the blog Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber.

We had a pretty intense week, right? The Brandon Teena Story and Boys Don't Cry are definitely not happy-go-lucky films. In fact, they're quite upsetting, disturbing, tragic and enraging, but they’re highly important to study through a Women’s Studies and an LGBT Studies lens, so I hope that everybody got a chance to finish watching Boys Don’t Cry.

A Brief Introduction to Emily Rowe

Hi everybody! It's me, Em. My full name is Emily Barbara Rowe, so I guess call me whatever you want as long as it's contained within those three words, but really I'd prefer Em or Emily. So blogging, huh? Pretty fun right? I recently started tumbling and it's probably the greatest decision I've ever made. I actually tumbled a pic of the Ruth Rosen book this morning. That might or might not be relevant.
