Community Partners
The Women's Studies Program strives to connect teaching and scholarship with larger communities—locally, nationally, and globally—through events, internship opportunities, and collaboration projects. In the past, we have partnered with local organizations focusing on youth/teen empowerment, social and legal services, reproductive and public health, and social justice activism. The Women's Studies Undergraduate Expo, held in the fall semester, offers an opportunity for students to connect and network with representatives from community partners. In this way, students are able to see first-hand how advocacy and activism intersect with concepts learned in the classroom. We also serve as a clearing house by helping to connect advocacy groups with the university community. Our list is always growing, and we look forward to future dialogue with new community partners
